Remember when in design school you used to lament studying Psychology, thinking “I’m going to be a logo designer, how will psychology help me?”You may want to think again! Beside the fact that they are fast-food restaurant logos, the red and yellow color induces your appetite even though you aren’t hungry.
The human brain is programmed to respond to every color in a different manner. The effect of colors on human mind takes place in seconds. Hence colors should never be chosen at the logo designer’s behest. They must used in conformance to the message and theme of the company that is being represented. Understanding color psychology and applying it in logo design isn’t easy. But, there are certain common effects that colors evoke when used in a logo design.
