One of the hallmarks of famous logos is simplicity and memorability. With correct use of elements, you can carve out an identity that is effective, crisp and unforgettable. There are three major constituents of a logo design: typography, icons and coloration. Each of these elements plays a parallel role in lifting the outcome of your design.

Today, I will discuss about one of these constituents, namely typography. Typography is the technique of arranging fonts in order to create verbal communication. It involves careful selection of typefaces, size and proximity. In modern graphic design, typography has been given a whole new dimension by addition of emotions. A typographic logo is meant to communicate a definite message to the target customers. When it combines with the art of black and white logos, it yields an even powerful message.

Keeping a logo in monochrome enables logo designers to exploit negative space and slot in the company message within the typography. In order to illustrate my point, here are 26 creative typography logos in black and white.
